ServerFloor Server and Domain Checks

ServerFloor uses various checks to measure the health of your servers. New checks and other improvements are added regularly and will be announced on the news page.

PING Checking

PING Checking is a quick and reliable way to test your servers for reachability and response time. PING uses the ICMP protocol to check if a server still answers to incoming traffic and measure the response time.

Service Checking

Service Checking allows you to test the status of the services running on your servers. Whether you want to see if your webserver still serves pages or if your mailserver is still receiving incoming email, ServerFloor has the technology to quickly test if your services are still reachable.

System Resources Checking

In addition to external server checks ServerFloor is also able to monitor your server's local disk space, memory usage and CPU resources. By installing the ServerFloor Agent software on your server you can easily monitor your system's resources and receive alerts if system resources are running out. Next time you can prevent trouble before it even happens.

HTTP URL Checking

HTTP URL Checking analyzes the content of your webpages to test if a specified textstring is still available. This is very useful for database and web application testing and also alerts you when malicious attackers changed your webpage.

Spam Blacklist Checking

Spam Blacklists belong to the most effective ways to combat unwanted e-mail. For companies blacklists may pose both a cure as a disease because a listing on these blacklists may cause a huge amount of your company's e-mail to get rejected or simply deleted by clients and other parties world-wide, while going undetected for days. Often these listings occur through misconfigurations in your mailserver software or because of recipients in your mailinglist incorrectly identifying your mailings as spam. Enable Spam Blacklist Checking in the ServerFloor control panel to have your mailservers checked in almost 20 blacklists, alerting you when you are listed and showing you what to do to unlist your servers.

Domain DNS Record Checking

What good is a healthy status of your server if your domain's DNS records point to another, perhaps even malicious, server? Nameserver poisoning and wrongful DNS record changes are problems system administrators often deal with. With ServerFloor you are always up to date on the status of your domain's DNS records.
